As part of this City of Salisbury initiative residents can request one Garden Organic Waste Drop-off Voucher (per household) between 1 September to 30 November 2026.
Q. What can residents drop off with a Garden Organic Waste Drop-off Voucher?
Garden organic waste includes grass clippings, tree branches, leaves and weeds. Soil, food organics, non-organic garden waste (such as hoses or pots) and general waste or hard waste are not accepted with the Garden Organic Waste Voucher.
Q. How will I receive my Garden Organic Waste Drop-off Voucher?
You will receive your Garden Organic Waste Drop-off Voucher via SMS within 1-2 business days of booking.
Q: How long is the Garden Organic Waste Drop-off Voucher valid for?
Residents will only be able to drop off garden organic waste within 2 weeks (14 days) after receiving a voucher. Vouchers will expire two weeks following the date of issue.

Garden organic waste can be taken to:
Pooraka Resource Recovery Centre – 7 days – 8:00am ~ 4:00pm
Edinburgh North Resource Recovery Centre – Monday-Friday – 8:00am ~ 4:00pm, Weekends – 9:00am ~ 3:00pm

Residents can book a free Garden Organic Waste Drop-off Voucher online via the NAWMA website or by calling NAWMA on 8259 2100.
A valid rateable address within City of Salisbury must be provided when booking.
Q. Why is the voucher only available to City of Salisbury residents?
This initiative has been funded by the City of Salisbury for City of Salisbury residents.
Q. Can a resident drop off garden organic waste in a ute or vehicle without a trailer?
Yes, as long as the volume of garden organic waste does not exceed that of a 6×4 caged trailer.
Q. Can a resident drop off garden organic waste without a voucher?
No, residents are unable to drop off garden organic waste for free without a voucher. Please ensure you have your drop-off voucher ready before arrival.
Q. If a resident does not have access to a trailer, can they hire one?
There is no trailer hire for garden organic waste available through NAWMA.
