City of Salisbury residents (rateable premises only) will be able to request one (1) free garden organics drop-off per household to dispose of excess garden organic waste (also called ‘green waste’) during the trial period of 1 October – 31 December 2025.
To book a free Garden Organics Drop-off Voucher, please call NAWMA on (08) 8259 2100. Eligibility will be confirmed via verification of address at the time of booking, and provision of corresponding identification (driver’s licence or Council rates notice) at the Gatehouse upon redemption.
Note that this trial service is separate from the standard two (2) hard waste services residents are eligible for each financial year and will be for garden organics only.
Items suitable for disposal using Garden Organics Drop-off Voucher include:
- Lawn clippings
- Leaves, sticks, branches
- Weeds, diseased plants
Items NOT suitable for disposal using the Garden Organics Drop-off Voucher include:
- Soil
- Food
- General waste
- Hard waste
Eligibility: 1 x free voucher per City of Salisbury rateable household (not transferable to commercial or third-party operators). Identification to confirm address (driver’s licence or Council rates notice) is required to redeem the voucher at an RRC Gatehouse.
Locations: NAWMA’s Pooraka Resource Recovery Centre (63-75 Research Road, Pooraka) and Edinburgh North Resource Recovery Centre (Gate 3, Bellchambers Road, Edinburgh North). Weekend voucher redemption is available at Edinburgh North RRC only (NOT Pooraka).
When: Vouchers are valid for use at NAWMAs RRCs Monday to Friday, between 1 October and 31 December. Weekend voucher redemption will be available at the Edinburgh North Resource Recovery Centre only. The last day to call NAWMA and book a voucher will be 17 December.
Redemption: Voucher must be used within two (2) weeks of the date of booking. This timeframe allows NAWMA to manage operational requirements and forecast peak demand. Any vouchers not redeemed within two (2) weeks will be returned to the pool for eligible residents.
Limit: Drop-off is limited to a maximum size of one (1) 6×4 caged trailer, or equivalent.
Bookings: All bookings must be made by phoning NAWMA’s Customer Experience Team on 8259 2100, and the voucher will be distributed by text message to the resident.
