NAWMA has identified as part of its strategic forward planning process, the need for an integrated, long-term approach to recycling and environmentally sustainable waste disposal.
It has developed one of the world's most advanced systems for processing domestic and industrial waste at its Elizabeth West site.
The facility is an extension of NAWMA’s material recovery facility, or MRF, on industrial land at Bellchambers Road, Elizabeth West.
Main activities at the Elizabeth West site, which is within the Environment Protection Authority's guidelines for resource recovery and waste transfer depots, include:
